THE case of the First bus driver charged with road rage (October 24) interests me because it adds weight to the belief that most road rage is triggered by the sounding of the horn.
Our roads would be much safer and less frenetic if cars were made without horns. To answer the obvious question, in 45 years of motoring I have never sounded my horn in either anger, frustration or even as a means of expressing disapproval.
Unnecessary sounding of the horn is against the Highway Code; good drivers don't do it.
