DUNCOMBE Park remain top of RJF Homes Beckett League division one after their 2-1 win at Sinnington.

Jeremy Richardson put the visitors head with a tap-in from close range following a Liam Ogunshakin corner and Ogunshakin made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after Shane Wilson had been brought down.

Jonathan Campbell scored for Sinnington on the hour, his first senior goal.

Black Swan Pickering remain second after a goalless draw away to third-placed Aislaby United.

The visitors started strongly but Aislaby came back into the game towards half-time.

Black Swan had more chances in the second half but never threatened the Aislaby goal and late in the game Aislaby's Kenny Temple and Martin Carter missed scoring chances.

Kirkbymoorside Reserves ended with only 10 players as they won 2-1 at Rosedale.

Carl Biggins went off injured a few minutes after having opened the scoring for the Moorsiders in the first half. He went to hospital and had eight stitches put into a cheek wound.

Bobby Brewer headed in a Nicholas Hodgson left-wing cross to make it 2-0 in the second half and then Les Bargh netted for the home side.

The Moorsiders were reduced to 10 men when player-manager Dave Smith pulled a muscle and had to go off and no other subs were available.

A first half goal by Christopher Simpson and one in the 70th minute by Martin Charlton sent Kirkdale United on their way to a 2-1 win at home to Old Malton 3rds, whose Mark Smith scored late in the game.

Kirkdale's opener was the first goal this season Old Malton 3rds had conceded in the first half. All their other matches had been goalless at the interval.

Dave Wallinger scored four goals as division two leaders Ampleforth won 7-3 away to Black Bull Thirsk.

Ian Wright got two goals and Billy Stephenson the other for Ampleforth, who have signed Andrew Breckon from Gillamoor, but he was unable to play last Saturday.

Black Bull's marksmen were Tom Kendall, with a 30-yard shot, Carl Pinchbeck from the penalty spot, and there was an own goal.

Jonathan Scoble got four goals as Thornton-le-Dale won 8-1 at home to bottom-of-the-table Bagby and Balk. Mike Lealman and Dwyne Young scored two each. Jonathan Pearson netted for the losers.

For the first time Bagby and Balk's man of the match award was shared between a father and son, defender David Hunter and goalkeeper Tommy Hunter.

Alex Macrae hit a hat-trick as Pickering Royal Oak won 3-0 at home to Gillamoor to complete a league double. Macrae scored after 18, 38 and 60 minutes.

Two first half goals by Danny Cass, two penalties in the second half by Curtis Drummond and a goal each by Lee Clayton and Dave Hornby gave Heslerton Reserves a 6-1 win away to Ryedale Sports Club Reserves, whose Mike Phillips was sent off. John Reed scored for Ryedale SC in the first half.

Crisis meeting

RJF Homes Beckett League second division club Slingsby, who were unable to raise a side to play at Coxwold last Saturday, are in danger of folding.

They are holding a crisis meeting at 1pm on Saturday in the Amotherby and Swinton clubhouse before their Ryedale Hospital Cup first round tie against Amotherby.

Slingsby are in desperate need of players. Any player wishing to join or re-join the club should ring secretary Walter Marshall on 01653 628522.
