WE must put the record straight regarding Richard Leigh's attack on the character of Derrick Atlay (October 23).
Whatever the rights or wrongs of the present rulings regarding the graves at Huntington Cemetery, Derrick Atlay has given his time and energy unstintingly to help the community during his many years of service on the local council and is certainly not uncaring.
The bitter tone of Mr Leigh's letter is uncalled for and unjust. Mr Atlay was only representing the decision of the Huntington Burial Committee.
