MODELS at a York city centre department store are licensed to thrill today - with a live show of hosiery from the new James Bond film.
Shoppers are being treated to a display of seasonal stocking fillers in the windows of Browns department store, in St Sampsons Square.
Three professional models are showing off up to 60 different pairs of tights and stockings, some of which will feature in the forthcoming Bond film, Die Another Day.
Browns' fashion accessory buyer Karen Dhir said the event was a chance to bring the products out of the packet and show them at their best.
She said: "Browns is a traditional, family-run business but we do have some very fashionable products with all the leading brand names."
Model Sam Barnett, who is said to have the longest inside leg measurement of any model in the UK, said she was expecting hundreds of shoppers to see the shows.
She said: "Every woman wants to be a Bond girl and every man would love to be James Bond - it's something that's bound to appeal to everyone."
