A MAGICAL tour of one of the world's biggest chocolate factories is taking place in York this weekend for a group of lucky youngsters.

Ten golden ticket holders are being given a "money can't buy" tour of the Nestl Rowntree factory in Wigginton Road, where Smarties, Kit Kats and Aeros are made.

Their prize brings to life the fictional world of Roald Dahl and his book, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, where finders of a golden ticket were given the chance to explore Willy Wonka's factory.

Nestl Rowntree York produced Wonka Golden Ticket Bars over the summer and imitated the much-loved book, which is also a major film, by putting golden tickets in chocolate bars.

The ten winners have a busy weekend ahead of them with an enchanting tour of the chocolate factory.

The day will reflect the Willy Wonka experience, and includes a tour of the colourful Smarties production line and an opportunity for the winners to meet Willy Wonka himself.

Wonka brand manager, Andy McQuade, said: "We are all really excited about re-creating the magical Willy Wonka experience at our factory in York for the winners. We are sure they'll agree that is a unique and 'chocolatey' day out to remember."
