Knights have cancelled a talent-spotting trial match scheduled to take place at Huntington Stadium tomorrow.

Broadbent and Ferres were hoping to cast their eyes over a number of contract-seeking players.

However, a lack of numbers have forced the new National League club to postpone the event.

Ferres explained: "We have got enough players for a team but we don't have enough to formulate two teams.

"We just couldn't generate enough interest from amateur players, who have other commitments.

"It would be a fruitless exercise if we couldn't play 13 v 13 but we haven't ruled out putting a match on later if we can generate another ten names."

He added: "I'm disappointed but it was organised for people who have inquired to us and we have just tried to accommodate them.

"The fact we haven't been able to on this occasion is no real fault of ours.

"What we will probably have to do is have a look at them in their own environment, that is an option."
