SO Mrs Dunhill is alarmed at the awful smell she experienced while visiting Rawcliffe Bar Park & Ride (November 1). Can she then imagine how awful it is for those of us who live here?
She may not be aware that the sewage from her unaffected home in Strensall is directed to Rawcliffe for processing and contributes to the pong!
At the commissioning of the site, I was told by Yorkshire Water that generators would be installed at this plant to be run off the gas (removing any smells) and feed electricity back into the grid. This never happened.
Additionally, before any work was started on the park facilities residents highlighted this obnoxious problem but protests were completely ignored.
