CELEBRITY chef James Martin, above, wowed more than 100 cookery fans with a virtuoso display of his talents at a York department store last night.
The Ready, Steady, Cook star returned to his home county to entertain 113 guests at the Fenwick store, in York.
James, 30, who has been filming BBC1's Home Call live cookery show in Birmingham for the past few weeks, said he enjoyed performing for an audience.
He said: "They are always good fun and this one is special as I remember coming to Fenwick as a kid.
"It's nice to come back - I'm so busy these days that I hardly ever get the chance."
The accomplished chef was promoting a range of Stellar saucepans with a demonstration of basic cookery skills, including spinning sugar and preparing simple dishes.
