A NORTH Yorkshire district council has been hailed as a "sound, competent, strongly-led authority" by an independent review team.
The Improvement and Development Agency says that Hambleton District Council has forged strong partnerships with other authorities, and recognises that local people need representation.
But it needs to develop its customer focus through greater two-way communication with local people.
The findings are part of an initial report of the agency's peer review team, following a week-long visit to the council.
