A BURGLAR jumped out of a downstairs window at a York home when the owner arrived home and disturbed him.
The thief escaped from the house in Lockwood Street, in The Groves, with a Nokia mobile phone and a purse containing bank cards. The incident happened at about 6.20pm on Wednesday.
The man was described as being white, about 5ft 9in tall, aged in his early 20s, clean shaven with dark hair. He had rings on one hand and was wearing a dark puffa jacket and black shoes.
Moped taken: A Honda moped, D 879 JWX, was stolen from Cambridge Mews, York.
