PUPILS at three York schools are wowing audiences with performances of two top musicals.
Students at The Mount School have collaborated with pupils at Bootham School for a production of Bye Bye Birdie.
Pupils at St Peter's School are putting on a fundraising performance of Guys And Dolls.
Bye Bye Birdie, based on the story of Elvis, follows the fortunes of Conrad Birdie, the biggest star in the history of rock music, as he is drafted into the United States Army.
The show opened on Wednesday and performances take place every evening at Bootham School Theatre, at 7.30pm, until tomorrow.
Tickets are free and can be obtained from the office of both schools on either (01904) 623261 or 667500.
Guys And Dolls is set in New York during a time when gambling is illegal but still goes on. The show has well-known tunes including Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat and When You See A Guy.
The school has teamed up with the Minster Lions to put on the fundraising production in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Gordon Harrison, of Minster Lions, said the air ambulance was the chosen charity for the Lions this year.
The last performance was taking place this evening at 7.30pm at the school. Tickets can be obtained by phoning the school on (01904) 623213.
