SLINKY slimming club members put on their party dresses for a glamorous competition in York.
The champagne flowed as about 40 members of Slimming World met at St Luke's Church Hall, in Burton Stone Lane, for the local heat of the Miss Slinky 2002 competition.
The winner was Samantha Milne, after fellow club members voted her the most glamorous girl on the night.
The 26-year-old, from Clifton, now goes forward to the national competition where she stands a chance of winning £1,000.
Class consultant Claire Wilson said: "Samantha has lost about two-and-a-half stone and is very close to her target.
Samantha said she was surprised to win last night. She said: "It was just a bit of fun after working so hard to lose all the weight, it was a really nice night."
