THORPE Utd maintained their 100 per cent start to life in division two with a 4-0 win over The Mount, thanks to goals from Wood, Crowther, Whiteley and Welford, writes Garry Carter.

Derwent United stayed in touch after a Wilford hat-trick helped them to a 5-2 home win over FC Magnet, Stuttard and Hazell added the others with Nick Fenton scoring both for Magnet.

In division three, James King gave Copmanthorpe the lead at York Nomads, but two goals from Thompson and one for Bradley earned Nomads top spot with a 3-2 win. Nick Lincoln hit the other for Copmanthorpe.

Matty Bostock was in top form as he hit five in Opticare's high-scoring 7-5 win over Wilberfoss in division four, Tomlinson hitting a hat-trick for the visitors.

Danny Oxtoby scored the only goal as Gipsy Moth beat Black Swan in division six and goals from Thompson, Mizon, Illing and Redding saw Cross Keys triumph 4-0 at Hazelwoods.

In the one Mecca Trophy tie played, the all division five affair saw The Plough progress with a 3-2 win at Barlby. Bruce, Fort and an OG with the goals for The Plough, Paul Hughes netting both for Barlby.
