DRAMATIC life-size sculptures of climbers are being used to decorate a school hall.
The three sculptures are being created at Park Grove Primary School, York, by artist Peter Douglas.
Peter is going into the school weekly, as part of an artist-in-residence project funded by City of York Council.
He is creating the pieces from designs made by the pupils.
Head teacher Andrew Calverley said: "It is a big hall and it needed something fairly dramatic so it was not overshadowed.
"The children have really got involved because they can see it is based on their work."
The work started in October and should be completed in February next year.
