NIGHT owls looking for a haunt might be interested in a new city centre bar - it comes complete with two giant beds.
The luxurious furniture forms the centrepiece at an unusual new York address, The Bedroom, in Micklegate.
But sleepy-heads hoping to grab a quick nap will be disappointed as there are no duvets on these beds which are instead covered with a hard-wearing plastic fabric.
Manager Pierre Rhodes says the chrome four-poster and circular futuristic beds are sure to attract a lot of attention.
He says: "One of the beds was so big I had to send it back, as it dominated the whole room.
"People will climb on them, sit on them and jump up and down on them - we can put the action on view for everyone via camera to the bar's plasma screens."
The overhaul has given the former Harry's Bar, which opens tonight, a modern new £400,000 look, state-of-the-art lighting and £104,000 of soundproofing.
