BRAVE York bar manager Colin Upton is bracing himself for an excruciating chest wax - if enough money can be raised.
Hairy Colin has pledged to go through with the ordeal in the Slug and Lettuce on New Year's Eve if £750 is collected for York District Hospital's special care baby unit.
So far the total stands at £200. The Slug's general manager, Andrew Wingfield, said: "Colin is absolutely petrified, but won't go through with it unless we raise £750.
"It will be very painful for him - he's like a Labrador!"
Anyone wishing to donate money should contact Colin or Andrew at the Slug or phone them on 01904 679900.
