The Kilnwick Percy Golf Club turkey trot saw an enthusiastic entry on a cold, wet day vote to play 18, rather than nine, holes of betterball stableford.
Nigel Burgess and Brian Petrie won with 34 points, with Iona Buckle and Steve Johnson second with 33 on countback from Graham Murray and Peter Wilson (off 3/4 handicap).
Men joined the ladies for a midweek fun Texas Scramble, played in teams of three over nine holes. Gerry Wilson, Linda Johnson and Dave Porter took the prizes, while Dave Porter won the Christmas Cup.
The club's Christmas Texas Scramble, shot-gun start, is scheduled for tomorrow. It is their final competition for 2002.
