A POPULAR new email service from the Evening Press has kept a York woman in the news AND in the money.
Anna Bermingham, of Huntington, is among the many people to have signed up to daily email news alerts from the Evening Press.
At about lunchtime each day Anna is sent a bulletin containing the main points of that day's news from York and North Yorkshire.
As an extra bonus, Anna was the first winner of the news alerts monthly £50 prize cash draw.
She said: "I couldn't believe it when I was told I had won. A neighbour rang me up. I thought they were joking.
"The news alerts are really useful for me. I work irregular hours and sometimes I don't get to see the paper, so they keep me right up to date."
