AFTER reading Grant Burton ('Fear drives us all these days', January 21) and disagreeing with most of his opinions, his final paragraph was what prompted me to write this letter.
Contrary to what you say, Mr Burton, the Labour party did not change its luck by either hard work or clarity of purpose.
The Labour Party succeeded by changing into the Conservative Party.
