BOTTOM club Amotherby and Swinton chalked up their second RJF Homes Beckett Football League win of the season by beating Rosedale 2-1.

Johnny Dunning fired Amotherby and Swinton ahead but, after both sides hit the woodwork, Rosedale equalised through Martin Myers.

Richard Tyson hit Amotherby and Swinton's winner 15 minutes from time after good work by Liam Rapp.

Aislaby United moved into second place in division one after defeating Union Rovers 5-1 with goals by Martin Carter (3), Simon King and Colin Tate. Union, who lost Chris Wilkinson with a bad leg injury, scored through Andy Piercy.

Kirkdale United came away from Old Malton 3rds with a 2-1 win. Old Malton were understrength at the kick-off and Kirkdale cashed in with a goal after just 30 seconds by David Greenlay.

Stuart Clarkson equalised but Kirkdale grabbed a 76th minute winner with a Christopher Simpson header.

Thorton-le-Dale moved to within three points of second division leaders Ampleforth after beating Slingsby 3-1.

Mike Lealman and Jeff Quilter put Dale 2-0 ahead by half-time. Darren Dyer pulled a goal back for Slingsby right after half-time but Jonathan Scoble's solo goal clinched victory.

Gillamoor leapfrogged Bagby and Balk with a 4-3 win over them. James Cook's tap-in and Mark Elven's 30-yard free-kick put Gillamoor 2-0 ahead.

Bagby and Balk pulled a goal back before Gary Stamper made it 3-1. Bagby and Balk stormed back to equalised but substitute Jonathan Cresswell netted the winner for Gillamoor.

In the third round of the Ryedale Hospital Cup two second division clubs knocked out sides from the top flight.

Second division leaders Ampleforth won 3-2 at Black Swan, Pickering, with goals by Dave Wallinger, Billy Stephenson and an own goal by Chris Taylor.

Swan were 2-0 down by hit back to level through Andrew Laidlaw and Chris Hill's 25-yarder, only to be undone by Taylor's own goal.

Coxwold scored a surprise 2-1 victory at Sinnington, courtesy of goals from Jason Sargeant.

Sinnington converted only one of three penalties they were awarded. Lee Mitchell scored -- and missed -- while David Wilkinson was the other player to fail to score from the spot.

First division leaders Duncombe Park beat second division hopefuls Heslerton 3-0 with second-half goals by Craig Newton, Liam Ogunshakin (penalty) and substitute Steve Coxon.
