GERMAN rock'n'roll band The Lennerockers are to play York on St Valentine's Day.
The five-piece combo from Hohenlimburg will be joined in next Friday's double bill at The Crescent WMC by the Little Town Bigshots, from Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
The Lennerockers, who formed in 1984, are on a fortnight's tour, buoyed by the number one success of their single High Class Lady in the British rock'n'roll charts. The track comes from Wild, Wild, Wild, their sixth album of blues, skiffle, boogie woogie and country.
Next Saturday's show forms part of the Crescent WMC Rock'n'Roll Club's tenth anniversary celebrations, which will peak with a party night in August.
DJ Woody completes the line-up for next weekend's show at the club in Blossom Street, and admission is £6 on the door.
