Pocklington have the luxury of welcoming players to their squad for the home clash against Leodiensians.

They are able to add back five forward Phil Thompson, who was working in London last weekend, while veteran former London Irish prop Glenn O'Hara,is on the bench.

Leodiensians lie comfortably in mid-table but are invariably something of an unknown quantity as they have an arrangement to take fringe players from Premiership outfit Leeds Tykes, on loan, and their contingent of stars can vary considerably from week to week.

On Sunday, Pocklington Under-13s hope to play their delayed Yorkshire Plate encounter with Hull Ionians (11am), while Pocklington Under-14s, who have six boys at an East Yorkshire squad session, play in a ten-a-side competition at Goole.

Having seen their winning run brought to an end by unbeaten leaders Knottingley, York RI will have to show new coach Chris Leathley they have the mettle to bounce back against Bramley Phoenix Park.

Knottingley were always going to be the big test for RI, but they weren't helped by a number of handling errors and wrong decision-making.

Despite the mistakes, Leathley and the RI selectors make just a solitary change with Cooksey coming into the squad at the expense of the unavailable Paul Reed.
