IT'S all systems go for Cygnet 'A' in York John Smith's Men's League division one.

A 6-3 win at Osbaldwick in which John Mooring gamed in 18 darts and Mark Miller in 20, opened up a nine-point lead with just four matches remaining.

Second-placed Trafalgar won 6-3 but lost the aggregate to good games by Dave Dobson and Paul Calpin-Steve Foster.

Poacher's clean sheet win at Green Tree 'B' had Ray McInally recording 180 for 20 and a maximum from Lee Brundrett.

Barry Noble brilliantly registered 100, 100, 125, 140 then 36 for 15 darts to set Dringhouses off to a 5-4 at Slip 'B' sealed by Mick Leggatt-Mick Coupland.

John Holden opened for Rose and Crown with 21 darts but a marvellous 124 check completed Heath Scaife's 15-darter and Shepherd went on to win 7-2.

The battle for division two continues to intrigue. Swan levelled at 4-4 with Pete McNichol-Paul Crossman for Barry McLaughlin-Ged McMahon to squeeze victory at Old Ebor, who nevertheless held the aggregate by three.

This leaves Blacksmiths and Saddle sharing top place. But the latter were in dire straits against bottom-placed Sun,who have not yet taken a point.

Pat Gaughan-Maurice Baker put Sun 'B' 4-3 up to put Saddle on the rack. However, Phil Knatt-John Page levelled and Noel Cooper-Kev Graham inched to victory with Sun's Dave Wright-Matt MacGregor stuck on double one.

Dave MacDonald starred in Green Tree 'A' team's 6-3 victory at Institute 'B', while Dave Belt-Joe Smith gave Holgate a win over Institute 'A' and a 97 finish from Derek Hartley put Cygnet 'B' in the driving seat against Groves.

An exceptional 164 finish on bullseye from Vic Reed inspired Woolpack to a 5-4 victory in York Open League division two.

Reed edged Woolpack into a 2-1 lead at Hospital Social Club then Paul Handy-Karen Reasbeck combined to take the win and lift them off the bottom of the table.

Greg Robinson threw a splendid 18-darter as Pack savaged Crescent 'B', while a 20-darter from Harry Stirk saved the aggregate for Leeman at Mount 'A', whose Mark Thornton did well.

In division one, a 19-darter from John Quantock put Six Bells 4-2 up at Crescent 'A', who fought back to level. However, Quantock-Phil Good wrapped up the decider with a 23-dart 701.

Paul Botterill (20) and Paul Dixon gave Volunteer the lead then Tony Noble closed on 106 to give Cygnet hope but Volunteer took the pairs to climb into second place. Mark Fratson notched a maximum.

Division three leaders Huntington suffered their first defeat at the hands of Mount 'B', whose Sadie Ducey played well. Tons from Geoff Holmes helped clinch the aggregate for Mount.

Twenty-one darts from Roger Shaw gave Fulford Arms the perfect start as they went on to record a fine 5-4 win over Bay Horse 'B'.

Yearsley and Indoor Bowls registered 6-3 wins over Winning Post and Little John respectively.
