FEATHERSTONE Rovers will go into tomorrow's game against York on something of a high with the news the club look set to come out of administration.

Creditors of the cash-strapped outfit on Thursday agreed to accept payment proposals on the table, which will wipe out the club's debt and leave it to trade on a day-to-day basis.

And, although Rovers will not actually be able to come out of administration until March or even April, the finalisation period looks like being a formality - giving the club a major boost.

That good news came just days after the club knocked Division One big-guns Leigh Centurions out of the Powergen Challenge Cup with a 28-22 victory at Lionheart Stadium.

Rovers were then handed an excellent chance of reaching the quarter-finals by being drawn against Swinton in the fifth round, and nevertheless it showed that Andy Kelly's men may well have hit form after a stuttering start to their Arriva Trains Cup campaign.

That start had included a 20-0 loss to Hull KR, but the return of influential half-back Richard Agar after injury helped pave the way for their surprise win over Leigh.

Kelly's side will be favourites this week but he is treating the Knights with respect, saying: "We are weary of the danger posed by York."
