NORTH Yorkshire Police's Eastern Area, which includes Easingwold, Malton and Scarborough, has seen changes at the top.
Former operations commander Superintendent David Short steps up to Eastern Area commander in the rank of temporary chief superintendent.
His post is taken over by Detective Chief Inspector Barry Honeysett, who takes the rank of temporary superintendent.
In Central Area, which covers York and Selby, Detective Chief Inspector Javad Ali becomes temporary superintendent to take over Supt John Lacy's role as operations commander. Supt Lacy has become a temporary chief superintendent to replace Chief Supt Gary Barnett as Central Area commander.
Detective Inspector Alan Carey moves up to the rank of temporary chief superintendent to head Central Area CID.
