Easter Ogil, a sensation on Lingfield's Polytrack recently, can notch his fourth win off the reel on the course tomorrow.

Formerly trained by Andrew Balding, the eight-year-old is now with Mark Wallace, a newcomer to the training ranks, who could hardly have a better initial flag-bearer than this in-form gelding.

Fresh from a fluent success seven days ago, Easter Ogil lines-up for the Bet Direct Selling Stakes and will surely start at cramped odds to make it five straight wins.

The Baroness, a beaten favourite in a selling race on her latest start at Lingfield, is my Nap selection to recover losses by winning the J Cheever Loophole Handicap over six furlongs.

The three-year-old was claimed by trainer John Best and owner Dave Nevison after her latest defeat and could prove a useful addition to their string of horses.

A filly, who had landed a gamble when winning her previous race, The Baroness has bags of speed and, having had only two outings on the Polytrack, she is open to further improvement. With only a featherweight to carry tomorrow, she should not be overlooked.

Former top National Hunt jockey Jamie Osborne is making a pretty good fist of training and is particularly effective with horses on the all-weather circuit.

Lambourn-based Osborne has good prospects of landing a quick double in the first two races at Lingfield with the promising Uncle Max (1.05) and the hardy Tough Nut (1.35).

Brendan Powell, another ex-jump-jockey, now training, can also get his name on the scoresheet.

Powell, a Grand National-winning rider, looks to have found a good opportunity for My Galliano, runner-up in his two previous outings, to break his duck in the Littlewoods Bet Direct Maiden Stakes.

Tomorrow's meetings at Doncaster and Ludlow are in doubt because of frost.

There will be an inspection at Doncaster 7.30 tomorrow morning. There was to be an inspection at Ludlow this afternoon.

Doncaster track manager Malcolm Taylor said: "We were down to minus four last night. Yesterday we were down to minus two and a half.

"We could have raced yesterday but today we would be a little doubtful about the possibilities of racing.

"The forecast for tonight is a similar one to Sunday night and getting up to plus four by lunchtime tomorrow. If it is like it was for Sunday into yesterday we've got every chance of racing tomorrow."

If racing goes ahead at Doncaster, trainer Richard Fahey can get among the winners with Dene View in the skybet.com Novices' Handicap Chase.

Padge Whelan's mount came good on this course last month when just getting on top near the finish. Open to further improvement, he has excellent prospects of following-up.

Lambourn trainer Nicky Henderson, who has a good record with his runners on this course, can win with Iris Royal in the Minnow Novices' Chase.

Mick Fitzgerald's mount, a winner on his reappearance, looks the type to progress during the remainder of the season. He will be hard to beat in this eight-runner contest.
