There's another extra day of jump racing tomorrow, courtesy of the BHB to help compensate for the number of fixtures lost this season, but the two meetings at Ludlow and Folkestone are unlikely to quicken the pulse of punters.

With not a single race worth more than £6,000, there is a severe lack of quality at both venues, not that that is likely to concern jockeys Richard Johnson and Jim Culloty, both of whom enjoyed a memorable time at this week's Cheltenham Festival.

Johnson, who rode four winners, including the Champion Hurdle on Rooster Booster, teams up with nap selection Unleash for Philip Hobbs - trainer of Rooster Booster - in the opening Teme Maiden Hurdle.

The four-year-old might never make Cheltenham standard, but he has shown definite signs of ability in his two starts to date and will not get many better opportunities than this to open his winning account.

Culloty and Henrietta Knight, the combination responsible for the brilliant Gold Cup winner Best Mate, have double prospects.

Grayslake has a fighting chance of collecting for the Lambourn partnership in the Severn Novices' Hurdle, while Beechwood has shown enough in three tries to suggest he will take the beating in the Rea Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race.

Culloty has a third chance of success aboard Deliceo in the Onny Handicap Chase.

The ten-year-old, a course-and-distance winner, comes here on a high, just like his jockey.

Also worth noting at Ludlow is the hat-trick seeking Wings Of Hope in the Alfa Aggregates Products Handicap Hurdle.

At Folkestone, Stormy Skye, rather unlucky not to have won a race before now, gets the chance to put the record straight in the Chasmarella Beginners' Chase.

Philip Hide takes the mount on the seven-year-old, trained at Brighton by Gary Moore.

Premier Estate has proved frustrating to follow this season, but Richard Rowe's charge deserves one more chance in the Qannaas Novices' Handicap Hurdle.

Samby, runner-up in both his races, can make it third-time-lucky in the Golden Celtic Maiden Open National Hunt Flat Race. Jimmy McCarthy takes the ride.
