A MOTORCYCLIST died after a collision with a car near Selby.
The accident occurred at 4pm yesterday in Greenlands Lane at its junction with Hospital Lane, Thorpe Willoughby.
A police spokesman said the motorcyclist was travelling towards Selby when he overtook a car turning left into Hospital Lane. At the same time a Mercedes Vito was pulling out of Hospital Lane to turn right.
A collision occurred and the 29-year-old motorcyclist, from Pontefract, was treated at the scene by paramedics.
He was taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary, where he died from his injuries.
