YORK City Knights will have to work hard and turn it around again.

That was the verdict of Knights scrum-half Trevor Krause ahead of Sunday's showdown with Sheffield at Huntington Stadium.

The Knights followed up their two successive victories - including that first-ever win over professional opposition at Sheffield - with defeat at Hull KR on Sunday, but Krause said the players would be determined to bounce back by doing an Arriva Trains Cup double over the Eagles.

"It's a case of switching back on mentally and getting that positive feeling back," Krause told the Evening Press. "We'll have to turn up in the right frame of mind and get on top of Sheffield."

The last time the Knights suffered defeat was against Dewsbury last month, and they hit back then with those wonderful wins over Sheffield and Doncaster. Krause said they would be keen to do that again. "We've got to pick it up and bounce back," said the Australian.

"It was disappointing on Sunday after how we've been feeling these last couple of weeks. It was a bit of a comedown. To have achieved so much in the two weeks then to lose it a bit and get a turnaround like that was very disappointing.

He added: "Our first ten minutes was good but we had a couple of injuries early on which mixed up our line a bit.

"We had a shuffle round and it took us a bit to get our rhythm again, and a lot of it was our own errors. We now need to hit back."
