THREE people were ejected from a Fibbers/Evening Press Battle of the Bands gig last night after "violent threats" were made to staff.
Venue manager Tim Hornsby said several threats were made to employees by fans of one particular act throughout the evening.
They were ejected from the premises by security. The police were not called.
Mr Hornsby said the result of the heat would be decided following a full inquiry.
He said: "I take threats to staff very, very seriously and I won't put up with it under any circumstances.
"This is the first time in over 300 Battle of the Bands nights that this has happened," he said.
The result will be announced on Tuesday.
