Dave Appleton and George Rawling became the fourth Acomb pair in the five years of the event to win York Conservative clubs' Legrand Electric pairs 5s and 3s competition.
They defeated Bootham's Geoff Binns and Vic Thompson 2-0 in the final played at Acomb club.
In the semi-finals Appleton and Rawling beat J Graham and N Jamieson (Heworth) 2-0 and Binns and Thompson won 2-0 against M Potter and N Walker (Acomb).
Appleton was the original sponsor of the competition before his retirement from his position as group sales director.
The event was supervised by Mike Collins and the trophy and mementoes were presented by Stewart McLean, president of the Acomb club.
