Osbaldwick and St John's served up a see-saw Leeper Hare York Football League Reserve 'A' encounter with the students eventually winning 4-3.

Andrew Triffitt and Matthew Roabuck put Osbaldwick 2-0 up, but Robin Bedford responded with two goals before the break. Triffitt regained the lead for Osbaldwick but the students won with goals from Andy Stubbington and David Turnbull.

South Bank enjoyed a 4-1 win at Kartiers with the best of their goals being a 20-yarder from Darren Smith to add to efforts by John Dale, Lewis Bootland and Dave Kettlewell. Glen Littlewood netted for Kartiers.

Copmanthorpe retained second spot in Reserve 'B' with a 3-0 win at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals by Andrew Manns (2) and Matthew Pearson.

Poppleton took advantage of Bridge's defeat to move into third after a 6-1 win over Rufforth where they were 3-0 up in the first six minutes. Jamie Agnew (3), Dan Adams (2) and Jim Brown scored for Poppleton with Paul Hemingway on target for Rufforth.

Reserve 'C' leaders Thorpe United dropped two points at Wilberfoss when Matt Ogle netted a last-minute equaliser. Mark Bramhall had scored a debut goal for 'Foss in a 2-2 draw.

Hamilton Panthers kept up the pressure with a 4-2 win over LNER Builders. Steve Gagan and Brad Dunn made it 2-0 within 15 minutes and Dunn and Gavin Orrey struck in the second half before Kevin Webb pulled two back late on for Builders.

A Dave McCafferty hat-trick saw Stillington beat Huby, while Norton United gave their chances of avoiding re-election a boost with a 5-1 win at Wheldrake.

Hemingbrough took four points from a double-header against White Horse. The first game was drawn 1-1 with Harry Jackson on target for Hemingbrough and Lee Jones for White Horse,.

The second game went to Hemingbrough 2-0, Danny Wadsworth and Dave Young netting.

Fulford, from Reserve 'C', ran their more illustrious opponents Malton Bacon Factory close before losing 2-1 in the fourth round of the Reserve League Cup.

Mark Taylor put Factory ahead just after the half-hour but Fulford equalised with a Sean Cade penalty. Factory's Kevin Oxendale was upended in the 72nd-minute and got up to take the penalty and win the match. The game was interrupted by a serious injury to Factory player Carl Stuttard.

Two goals from Tim Furnell and one from Colin Peach sent Pocklington through to the semi-finals after a 3-1 defeat of Bishopthorpe.

Old Malton went through thanks to a second-half hat-trick from Jamie Shepherd against Civil Service.
