KIRKBYMOORSIDE Reserves could become RJF Homes Beckett League division one champions tonight.

Needing only one more point from their remaining two games to wrap up the title, they are at home to Sinnington tonight (kick off 6.15pm).

Kirkbymoorside Reserves won 3-0 at home to bottom team Amotherby and Swinton last Saturday, Chris Hodgson, Andrew Ferguson and Mike Chapman all scoring in the second half.

Last Thursday, Kirkbymoorside Reserves won a 'six-pointer' at Duncombe Park 3-1.

Robbie McDermid, Andrew Wilkinson put Kirkbymoorside Reserves 2-0 up before Liam Ogunshakin pulled one back for Duncombe Park. Chris Hodgson then got the third goal for the winners.

Duncombe Park kept alive their slim hopes on the championship with a 1-0 win away to Black Swan, Pickering on Saturday. Ogunshakin scored with a ten-yard volley after good work by Jeremy Richardson.

This defeat puts Black Swan out of the Top Four competition. They now go into the Marisa Sports Trophy competition.

Sinnington claimed the final place in the Top Four competition thanks to a 3-2 win at home to Union Rovers.

The Sinners went 2-0 up through a Richard Mason own goal and a goal by Jo Turnbull. Chris Cooke got one back for Rovers before half-time.

Early in the second half Andy Piercy equalised and minutes later he hit the crossbar after a through-ball by Ian Blanchard. Skipper Lee Mitchell scored Sinnington's winner.

Sinnington beat Amotherby and Swinton 5-1 last Thursday. Rob Atkinson scored twice for Sinnington and there was a goal each for Jonathan Campbell, Matthew Brown and Lee Mitchell.

Kirkdale United ended their league campaign last Thursday by beating Black Swan Pickering 5-0. Martin Charlton got three, Phil Charlton and Ian Prendergast one each.

Tom Kay scored his first hat-trick as Coxwold trounced Thornton-le-Dale 7-1 in division two. The other scorers for Coxwold were Sam Preston, Robert Proudley, Bobby Pearson and an own goal.

Slingsby won 3-0 away to Ryedale Sports Club Reserves with goals from Steve Hodgson, Neil Foster and David Jenkins.

Pickering Royal Oak became division two champions when they beat visitors Bagby and Balk last Thursday night.

Ryedale Hospital Cup final takes place at Kirkbymoorside on Saturday between Duncombe Park and Pickering Royal Oak, kick-off 6pm.
