I DON'T know who is the bigger fool: Mike Usherwood for his continued obstinacy regarding cyclists as the only wrong-doers on the roads, or me for responding to his dangerous ravings (April 16).

Some people are idiots irrespective of their mode of transportation. How many times do people have to call for the police to enforce the laws on all road users? The Chancellor could save on Government borrowing if fines were issued to those illegally using foglights or not signalling at roundabouts.

Given Mike Usherwood's objection to cyclists because they do not pay a particular tax he thinks is an access fee, I also fear for any horse and rider whom he may encounter.

...WOULD reasonable Mr Usherwood support impounding cars for erring drivers the same as he does erring cyclists? Answers on a postcard to "Not on Your Nelly, Cloud Cuckoo Land, Huntington".
