Pocklington have retained the Leeper Hare York and District League premier division championship with one game to spare.

They clinched the title in resounding style by thumping lowly Crayke 7-0.

A penalty was awarded after only nine minutes when a Crayke player handled the ball in the box and was sent off. Barry Gargett scored from the spot. Neil Wilford made it 2-0 before half-time.

Pocklington's class and the extra man told in the second half, with Gargett adding another three goals and Brent Terry scoring twice.

Premier division runners-up Dringhouses demolished Riccall 10-0. Mark Woodward and Pat Gaughan led the way with four goals each while Lee Atkinson and Neil Rankiellor got one each.

Rufforth made sure of avoiding relegation with a 5-0 win at Bishopthorpe.

Jamie Smith put Wigginton Grasshoppers ahead after 15 minutes at home to Osbaldwick and they held the lead at the interval.

Russ Barley equalised from the penalty spot and then Osbaldwick went on to win 4-1 with two Mark Triffitt goals and one from Neil Robertson.

Old Malton settled for a 0-0 draw away to Kartiers.

Huntington won 3-1 at home to third-placed Malton Bacon Factory. Nigel Allen gave the Factory side the lead after 18 minutes but two goals in two minutes by Paul Downes turned the tables and a second half solo goal by Nick Fenton sealed Huntington's win.

Hamilton Panthers made sure of being promoted from division two with a 2-1 win at Easingwold, but not before Rich Jennison had given the home side a 15th-minute lead.

They held it until the hour when Paul King equalised, and 15 minutes later King scored the winner.

This result leaves Easingwold in relegation trouble, while Panthers need to win their match on Wednesday against second-placed Stamford Bridge to clinch the title.

Elvington Harriers grabbed a last-minute equaliser with a disputed penalty to deny visitors Stillington three vital points in their bid to pull away from the relegation zone.

Luke Dove gave the home side the lead and Andrew Metcalfe equalised before the break. Andy Pears put Stillington in front but Paul Culkin kept cool and put away the equalising penalty.

Huby took three vital points with a 3-1 win at Heslington courtesy of goals from Mike Watts, Gary Humphries and Mark Brogan, but LNER Builders are still in the relegation struggle after a 4-2 home defeat by Poppleton.

The visitors were three up by half time with goals from Simon Hunt (2) and James Barratt. The Builders conceded an own goal to add to their woes but managed two in reply from Kevin Webb and an Andy Green penalty.
