Dunn Deal, owned by Blackburn Rovers footballer David Dunn, has a scoring chance at Catterick tomorrow.

The three-year-old lines-up for the White Muzzle Handicap over five furlongs and will have the assistance of apprentice rider Mark Flynn.

Trained last season by Alan Berry and now with Mark Brisbourne, Dunn Deal made an encouraging reappearance at Thirsk 11 days ago with Royston Ffrench in the saddle.

Poorly drawn, the sprinter got behind early on, but picked up ground in eye-catching style under a tender ride in the final furlong and finished sixth to Midnight Special.

With that run under his belt, Dunn Deal should now be able to play a striking role for his footballing owner.

Aleron, a previous course winner, should make a bold bid in the Moonax Handicap over a mile and a half.

John Quinn's five-year-old has been in fine form. Successful on the sand, he finished a close second on this course two outings ago, but has since won in cosy fashion at Musselburgh.

A horse who benefits from a 'finesse' ride, Aleron will receive just that from Jamie Spencer, his partner here.

Spencer looks likely to enjoy a profitable afternoon. He can also win the £14,000 Richmond Stakes on recent scorer Choral Chimes for in-form Newmarket trainer David Loder, who is set to retire at the end of the season.

The main focus of attention tomorrow is the televised meeting at Epsom, where Dubaian Gift makes stacks of appeal in the Pentax 'Digital Camera' Handicap over the fastest five-furlongs course in Britain.

Andrew Balding's speedy charge, who ended last season on a high note, displayed plenty of promise on his recent reappearance at Thirsk.

Despite finishing unplaced, the four-year-old showed brilliant pace from his outside draw until fading in the closing stages.

Dubaian Gift should strip fitter tomorrow and, with Martin Dwyer in the saddle, he is expected to show his rivals the way home.

The Pentax City and Surburban Handicap looks an excellent opportunity for Danelor to open his seasonal account.

Bought out of Ed Dunlop's yard last autumn, and now with Butterwick, near Malton, trainer Richard Fahey, Danelor made a cracking start to the season when finishing fourth in the Newbury Spring Cup.

Now tackling a couple of furlongs further, and with the benefit of that outing under his belt, the Ryedale gelding is napped to oblige under Paul Hanagan.

Recent Pontefract winner Gala Sunday puts his reputation on the line in the Weatherbys Blue Riband Trial.

Wait For The Will is fancied to land the £25,000 Pentax Great Metropolitan Handicap for Brighton trainer Gary Moore and his apprentice-son Ryan, a rider who has made a big impact in the last 18 months.
