IN THE two Leeper Hare York and District League Reserve 'A' games played at the weekend, a Paul Broadbent goal was enough to take all three points for Bishopthorpe at St John's College and an own goal eventually lost the game for Dunnington at Osbaldwick.

Rob Orr added another for Osbaldwick in the second half and although Anthony Cooper managed to score for Dunnington direct from a corner, they could not find an equaliser.

Wigginton Black Horse and Copmanthorpe are still head-to-head in the Reserve 'B' title race.

Black Horse dropped a point at Heslington in mid-week but won 2-0 over Rufforth at the weekend, thanks to an own goal and a Frankie Adams strike.

Copmanthorpe thumped Haxby 13-2 to bring their goal difference up to the mark. Andrew Manns became the League's top scorer of the day with seven and he was assisted by team-mates Simon Evans (2), Matt Pearson (2), Mark Allinson and Roy Atkinson.

Barmby Moor trounced Moor Lane 7-0 but it was almost half-time before the first goal, from the boot of Phil Harper.

After the break Stuart Snell, Tom Rastall, John Schofield, Dave O'Connor (2) and Nick Williamson were on target.

The ex-Dringhouses veteran Chris Johnson netted two more for Poppleton as they overcame Riccall 4-1. Charlie Jackson added two in the second half, with Tony Fowler netting for Riccall.

Haxby & Wigginton managed to edge past Stamford Bridge with goals from Mike Smith (2) and Gary Rylance, with Martin Smith senior and John Hetherton netting for Stamford Bridge.

Civil Service won 4-3 at home to Heslington with goals from Alex Ingram, Willl Dunnitt, Alistair Burn and Ian Pearce.

Hamilton Panthers' Reserve 'C' title challenge took a severe knock when, despite taking a strong team to Wheldrake, they were beaten twice in a double header.

They lost the first game 3-0, with Wheldrake goals from Nick Willis, Richard Taylor and Wes Cooper, and the second game 4-2, with Willis, Steve Rollinson (2) and Martin Chapman doing the damage. Steve Gagan and Ian Rankiellor scored for Panthers.

Tim Cockill netted for Huby in the first half against Norton. Adam Johnson made sure of the points with a second goal two minutes from time.

Lenny Mason gave White Horse the half-time lead at home to Wilberfoss but the visitors responded with goals from Damien Holden (2) and John Hardcastle after the break.

Fulford enjoyed a 4-2 win at home to LNER Builders. Robin Clyfan (2), Sean Cade and Daz Bradbury were their scorers, with Adam Osguthorpe and Ian Clancy netting for the Builders.

Hemingbrough leapt into second with six points from a double-header against Heworth.

Kieron Morris, Danny Wadsworth, Tom Bennett and Danny Finnegan scored in the first game 4-1 win, with James Beaumont netting for Heworth.

In the second game Harry Jackson and Bennett netted two apiece as Hemingbrough won 4-0.
