THERE was a photo-finish at the Willows on Easter Saturday when less than half a pound separated the sell-out Bob.Co Open.

Pegs on Ridge Pool dominated proceedings for a second week with catfish playing a major role once again.

Graham Broadley (Bob.Co) led from peg eight opposite the end of the island. Offering cat meat tight to the reeds against the island he netted 10 carp up to 7lb for a winning bag of 46lb 10oz.

A mere two ounces adrift was Tony Hewson (Armley Angling) who netted 46lb 8oz from last weeks winning peg 14. Fishing pole and pellet to the far side he also had carp to 5lb plus another big catfish of 14lb.

Lost fish denied him a clear victory however as seven carp and another giant catfish evaded the net.

Best weight from Goldrush was taken by Steve Raper (Hirst Tackle) who bagged carp and tench to 3lb from peg 50 for 46lb 2oz.

Others: John Allerton (Tri-Cast Whizzo) 38-8-0, Charlie Moran (Colmic Ossett) 36-7-0, Andy Barker (GTI Walton) 32-10-0.
