LUCKY Linda Swallow has won a shiny new car in a prize draw - but she can't even drive!
Linda, from Knapton, is a renal dialysis assistant working in Easingwold. She won the Citroen C3 car with just a £2 stake in the York Health Services NHS Trust staff draw. Despite her lack of a licence, Linda was overjoyed. She said: "I could not believe it when I was told. It's a lovely surprise."
The win has given Linda an added incentive to bin her 'L' plates, and she now has a driving test booked.
The trust prize draw has been taking place since 1991, and raises money to improve amenities.
