POCKLINGTON were presented with the new Leeper Hare York and District League premier division trophy before their last league game of the season, a 1-0 victory over Bishopthorpe.

Neil Wilford's first half goal gave Pock the points.

Kartiers were beaten 3-1 at home by Malton Bacon Factory on a hard bumpy pitch.

The visitors took the lead on the half-hour mark when a shot was handled on the line which led to Kartiers being reduced to ten men and Nicky Drew netted the penalty.

With 20 minutes remaining Kartiers' best player, Andy Woodall, nipped in to intercept a back pass and equalise.

This prompted MBF to step up a gear and five minutes later Nathan Milner curled in a shot to regain the lead and Simon Collins made sure with a third with five minutes remaining.

Wigginton Grasshoppers and Huntington settled for a 0-0 draw in a game of few chances.

After losing by a single goal at home to T&L Selby in midweek, Copmanthorpe bounced back to win 3-1 at division one table toppers Wigginton Black Horse to ensure that there is still everything to play for.

After a blank first half Black Horse took the lead with an Anthony Luck goal but Copmanthorpe responded with two from Mark Flood and one from Matthew Bastock.

T&L have still got the title within their sights after goals from Daniel Rhodes and Steve Rowbottom gave them a 2-0 win at Haxby & Wigginton.

Post Office hit their neighbours Civil Service for five without reply - a result which relegated Service. Richard Dalby (2), Mike Heels, Richard Kenyon and Andy Bonarious did the damage.

St John's College won 3-0 at South Bank with goals from Rob Ellis (2) and Neil Latcham.

Fulford finally managed their first league win of the season, in their last match, by beating Haxby 7-1 with goals from Andy Pattison (2), Lee McArdle (2), Glen Featherstone, Andy Holmes and Ben Bailey. Pattison bagged his second late on.

Two wins over New Earswick following a 4-0 win at home to Old Malton in midweek has given Dringhouses the Reserve A title for yet another season.

Both the New Earswick games ended 2-0. In the first, Wayne Carter and Jamie Backhouse were the scorers and in the second Neil Rankiellor and John Lake scored.

Wigginton Grasshoppers had a Rob Murphy hat-trick to thank for their 3-2 win over Malton Bacon Factory. Bishopthorpe were 5-3 winners at home to Osbaldwick thanks to Joe Gardham (3), Will Griffiths and Joe Moore. Andy Schofield, Rob Orr and Paul Crangle scored for Osbaldwick.

A strong South Bank side hit five past Pocklington without reply. John Dale (2), Simon Kehoe, Darren Smith and Mark Willoughby were their marksmen.

St Johns College entertained Kartiers to two games, the first finished all square at 1-1 with Robin Bedford scoring for the students and Simon O'Neil for Kartiers.

The second game was a high-scoring affair with seven from the students, courtesy of Mick Horsfield (4), Matthew Moore, Matthew Evans and Robin Bedford.

Kartiers responded with three from Mark Mabbett, Glen Littlewood and Wayne Coulthard. Huntington finish bottom of the table but managed some consolation with a 2-1 win over Dunnington in their last game. Chris Burgess put Dunnington in front but second half goals from Mark Gamble and Mark Ellis secured the win for Huntington.

Copmanthorpe's chances of the Reserve B title were all but scuppered by a 2-1 midweek defeat against a Barmby Moor side, reinforced by several first-teamers.

But Cop then kept up the pressure on Wigginton Black Horse by winning 4-0 at Easingwold. Andrew Manns netted twice and two more were added by Lee Atkinson and Ally Hammerton.

Black Horse effectively sealed the title with a 3-0 win at Civil Service with goals from Andy Richardson and James Wood (2). They will have to lose their last game by a big margin to lose the title.

Poppleton ensured third place with a 3-1 win at home to Heslington with goals from Dan Adams (2) and Chris Cook.

Stamford Bridge hit six against Haxby without reply through Martin Smith, Chris Plowman, Chris Allen (2) and Darryl Carter .

Tom Rastall, John Schofield and Stuart Barker struck to give Barmby Moor a 3-0 win over Haxby & Wigginton in their last game of the season.

After leading the Reserve C table for most of the season Thorpe United have been dropping points in recent games and they were held to a 1-1 draw by lowly LNER Builders in midweek.

However, they made no mistake with an 8-1 home win over White Horse. Mick Tiplady was back on scoring form to claim four. Richard Cuss (2), Andy Haig and Mark Gardner added one each.

Hemingbrough closed to within two points of Thorpe after a big midweek win over Norton and a 4-0 victory against Huby with goals from Danny Smith, Danny Young (2) and Tom Caldwell.

Norton gave themselves a chance of avoiding re-election with a 3-1 home win over Wheldrake with all the goals coming in the second half. Will Spowitt hit two and Scott Palmer scored from the penalty spot. Martin Chapman netted for Wheldrake.

Heworth remained bottom despite two wins over Fulford. In the first match a goal from Kevin Gregory and an own goal gave them a 2-0 win and in the second a Kevin Jackson penalty was all that separated the sides.
