THANK you to Mary Morrod for your excellent letter (May 14). It really hit the spot.
Of course these "luxury" flats are not affordable for York people. They were never meant to be, and since Labour were rightly ousted in the local elections, there will be even more flats bought by rich incomers.
If the Lib Dems have their way, people who have lived happily in York for generations will be a rare sight in their own city. I appeal to Mary, and all other York people, to join myself and others and claim York back for born and bred Yorkies.
