A COUPLE accused of stealing more than £22,700 are expected to stand trial at York Crown Court.
Mark Phillips, 35, and Philippa Vanessa Phillips, 37, of High Street, Chagford, near Exeter, Devon, are accused of stealing £22,700 in York between September 1, 1999 and April 11, 2000. They also face allegations that they stole unknown amounts of cash on ten more occasions between April 17, 2000 and April 22, 2000 - six in York, three in Scunthorpe and one in Doncaster.
Their case was adjourned until July 18 for committal.
