THIEVES stole a black BMW 330 series from a pub car park, crashed the car and rolled it down a bank, before driving away from the scene and torching the vehicle.
The theft happened sometime between 7pm and 10.30pm on Saturday at the Stone Trough, Kirkham, outside Malton.
Community safety sergeant Cliff Edens said the car, registration YG02 URC, was discovered burnt out near the A64 at Crambe.
