A YORK florist has enjoyed the sweet smell of success at her first competition.
Sue Dodsworth, who owns Floral Elegance on Front Street, Acomb, won joint first at the Teleflorist competition.
Sue designed an alternative bouquet for a bridesmaid at a bikini beach wedding, and Rachel Steel who works at the shop, won second by designing a bouquet for a punk bride.
Sue said: "We only opened in October, so we are over the moon, particularly as this is the first competition that we have entered."
