THE 40th anniversary Junior Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament at Rowntree Park proved a great success.
Peter Terry, who donated the first trophy 40 years ago, was there to present it to winners Josh Tindall and Sally McLaren, from St Peter's School. Runners-up were Bootham School duo Ben Leftwich and Lucy Langley, while the largest number of entries came from Fulford Tennis Club.
A 40th anniversary medal was presented to each competitor by York and District Tennis League president Gerry Slack.
