KIEREN Fallon, successful in Thursday's Gold Cup on Mr Dinos and in the Coronation Stakes aboard Russian Rhythm yesterday, switches from the glitz and glamour of Royal Ascot to the more subtle delights of Pontefract tomorrow.

The champion jockey, always so popular when he returns to Yorkshire, can keep his fans happy by figuring strongly on the scoresheet.

Fallon has a choice book of mounts and could well complete a fantastic five-timer on the seven-race card.

The promising Fairlie, trained near Thirsk by his former boss Lynda Ramsden, should give Fallon a good ride in the opening juvenile fillies' race, while the progressive Clever Clogs, trained at Newmarket by Ed Dunlop, likewise boasts sound chances in the Tolent Construction Maiden Stakes.

In the £20,000 Mail On Sunday/Tote Mile Rated Handicap, Fallon teams up with Island Light, who has gained creditable placed efforts in his last two starts and who now looks primed to strike winning form.

The Graham Rock Memorial Handicap, a £10,000 race run in honour of the former respected racing journalist, who died a couple of years ago, sees Fallon joining forces with arguably his best ride of the day, Arcalis, another Ramsden runner.

Winner of his last two starts, at Leicester and on this course, Arcalis is progressing at a rapid rate of knots. A hat-trick could well be on the cards for the gelding here.

Fallon finishes off with a mount on Summer Shades in the L & J Windows Fillies' Handicap.

Having racked-up a sequence of runner-up efforts, Mark Brisbourne's charge is overdue a change of luck. Fallon is just the man to trigger that turning of the tide.

At Warwick, Brisbourne, whose horses are in good form, could have another winner, courtesy of Adobe in the Evening Telegraph Cup.

Boston Spa jockey Dale Gibson has been booting home a flood of winners in recent weeks, and Future Coup could be another for him in the Evening Telegraph Drivetime Handicap.

Also worth noting are the speedy Sholto (3-10) and the promising Darmagi (4-40).

Tomorrow's jumping action comes from Perth, Britain's most northerly course, where Karju is napped to win the opening Provost's Plate Novices' Hurdle.

Martin Todhunter's gelding showed a good attitude when winning here at the last meeting and a double is on the cards. Tony Dobbin again takes the mount.

Trading Trouble (3-00), trained by Malcolm Jefferson, who looks to be returning to form, and recent Flat winner Cosmic Case (3-30) can provide jockey Graham Lee with a double.
