DAVE Sowden collected the clubman of the year award at Selby Warriors RLFC's annual presentation night.
Sowden is a first team player, press officer and coach of the new junior section of the club.
The coach's and players' player of the year gongs went to Wayne Fennell, while the most improved player award went to Craig Daltry.
Pre-season training for the Warriors starts on Monday, 7-8.30pm, and will be held every Monday and Wednesday thereafter. The switch is due to congestion on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Warriors' under-10s presentation bash is this Saturday from 7pm and all players will receive a medal.
The junior committee have decided to continue training throughout the summer due to high interest, but they are still keen for more players to join up so anyone between the ages of six and 11 will be made welcome. Call 01977 663187 for details.
The club are also hoping to run an Under-9 team as well as an U-11 next season and anyone interested in coaching or organising a team should call 01977 663187.
