TWO people were taken to hospital after the car they were travelling in left the road near York.
The crash happened on Towthorpe Lane, between Towthorpe and the A64, at about 7.30 last night.
A North Yorkshire ambulance service spokeswoman said one casualty had been trapped in the car.
Two people were taken to York Hospital. The road was closed while accident investigators surveyed the scene.
