A 20-YEAR-OLD man had to have 20 stitches inserted into a wound after being slashed in the chest.
The man, who is not believed to have been local, was taken to York Hospital after last night's incident, which happened in the Abbots Road area of Selby at 9.35pm.
The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A 20-year-old Selby man was today being questioned at Selby Police Station in connection with the incident.
