Tentative, a winner at Doncaster last week, returns to the Town Moor course tomorrow evening with excellent prospects of following-up in the St John's Ambulance Nursery.

The Roger Charlton-trained filly, successful in two of her three races this season, is little bigger than a pony but she lacks nothing in speed. Over five furlongs at Doncaster last week she was never headed at any stage.

Richard Hughes, who will be in action earlier in the day at Sandown, travels on to Doncaster to again take the ride on Nap selection Tentative, who will surely be hard to catch.

Smart Predator deserves attention in the Grolsch Classified Stakes.

John Quinn's useful handicapper has run well in defeat at York and Newcastle since winning a valuable race at Redcar last month, and he can be forgiven his latest lapse at Pontefract, as he was badly drawn. Robert Winston has the mount on him tomorrow.

Winston can also score on Musical Fair, who made it three wins for the summer when obliging at Catterick last week.

Jeremy Glover's consistent sprinter has good prospects of scoring again in the 'Master Cutler' Handicap.

Kieren Fallon should keep his supporters happy in the Carling Extra Cold Handicap aboard High Action, a recent winner.

Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, this progressive three-year-old has the make and shape of a colt who could continue to prosper to the end of the season.

The principal afternoon action takes place at Sandown, where Go Polar is fancied to leave her rivals stone-cold in the Gatwick Handicap over five furlongs.

Trained by John Cullinan, who is particularly adept with sprinters, Go Polar had two-and-a-half lengths to spare when winning at Newmarket last time and looks the type to step up even further. Richard Quinn has the mount on this potentially smart speedster.

The £25,000 Star Stakes takes pride of place on the Sandown programme and Leopard Hunt is fancied to knock spots off her rivals.

Trained by John Gosden, this well-regarded filly made a winning debut at Goodwood last month and, having run green that day, looks capable of considerably better with that experience under her belt. She will surely give Jimmy Fortune a good ride tomorrow as she steps up in class.

The progressive and in-form Magic Mistress gets my vote to make it three wins from four outings in the Teddington Handicap, while Gift Horse should not be looked in the mouth in the Heathrow Maiden Stakes.

Trained by James Fanshawe, Gift Horse finished a creditable second on his debut at Warwick and is fancied to go one better here.
